The choice of format is made based on practical and emotional considerations.
Practical
- The room where the bath will be placed
- Is there room for the midwife to access at least two sides during the birth
- Would you like room for your partner in the bath (not possible with the Mini)
- Do you have a boiler or a central heating system? the amount of water (mini 480 liters, normal 650 liters)
Emotionally
- Mini bath gives more feeling of security
- Normal bath gives more feeling of freedom of movement
